The Pearl District is located along the San Antonio River, approximately 2 miles north of downtown San Antonio and the Alamo. The campus sits at the junction of Broadway Street and Pearl Parkway, at the northern end of the Museum Reach of the San Antonio River Walk.

Parking at the Pearl

Pearl Garage (Main Parking)

Located at 312 Pearl Pkwy, the main Pearl Garage offers convenient, affordable parking directly on the campus. Validate your parking at participating restaurants and shops for discounted rates. Weekend Farmers Market days fill up quickly — arrive before 9am for easy parking.

Rates: First 2 hours free with validation. $3/hour thereafter, $15 daily max.

Street Parking on Broadway

Limited free street parking is available along Broadway Street and surrounding neighborhood streets. Meters operate Monday–Saturday 8am–6pm. Street parking is unreliable on busy event weekends and Farmers Market days.

Hotel Emma Valet

Hotel Emma offers valet parking for hotel guests and restaurant diners. Rates vary by time of day. Valet is recommended for evening dining experiences when the garage may be crowded.

Getting There

By Car from Downtown

Broadway Street (most direct): Head north on Broadway Street from downtown. Pearl Parkway is approximately 1.5 miles north of the Alamo. Turn right on Pearl Pkwy to enter the campus. Drive time: 5–10 minutes depending on traffic.
From I-35 North/South: Take exit 165A toward Josephine St. Head east on Josephine, then north on Avenue A, continuing to Pearl Pkwy. Drive time from I-35: 7–12 minutes.
From San Antonio International Airport: Take US-281 South to loop 410, then Broadway Street north. Total drive time approximately 20–30 minutes depending on traffic.

By Public Transit & Other

VIA Metropolitan Transit: Routes 9 (Broadway) and 20 (San Pedro) serve the Pearl area. The closest stop is Broadway at Josephine. VIA fare is $1.30 per ride. Check viametro.org for current schedules and routes.
San Antonio River Walk: Walk or bike the Museum Reach of the River Walk from downtown. The 1.3-mile extension connects the historic missions district to the Pearl along a beautifully landscaped river corridor. Free and scenic.
B-Cycle Bike Share: San Antonio's B-Cycle bike-share program has stations near the Pearl. Rent a bike from the downtown station and ride the River Walk's Museum Reach directly to the Pearl campus. Day passes available.
Rideshare: Uber and Lyft are widely available in San Antonio. Request pickup and drop-off at "Pearl Brewery, San Antonio" for accurate routing to the main entrance on Pearl Pkwy.

Insider Tips for Your Visit

1Go on Saturday. The Farmers Market is the Pearl's signature experience — over 100 vendors of local produce, baked goods, prepared foods, and crafts.
2Walk the River Walk. The Museum Reach connects the Pearl to downtown — a beautiful 1.3-mile path with public art installations.
3Visit Hotel Emma. Even if you're not staying, the bar and Supper restaurant are open to the public. The architecture is stunning.
4Check the events calendar. The Pearl hosts live music, yoga, film screenings, and cultural events throughout the week.
5Wear comfortable shoes. The campus spans 22 acres with cobblestone paths and river walk terrain — great walking shoes are essential.

Accessibility at the Pearl District

The Pearl District is committed to welcoming all visitors. The campus features ADA-accessible pathways throughout the outdoor grounds, accessible parking spaces in the Pearl Garage (closest to the main entrance), and accessible restrooms in all major buildings.

Hotel Emma, Cured, Southerleigh, and all main Pearl restaurants are fully wheelchair accessible. The Farmers Market on Saturdays takes place on paved surfaces with accessible routes. River Walk access points near the Pearl also meet ADA requirements for ramp access.
